Mission: JOY is a film that shares the humor and wisdom of two of the world’s most beloved icons, His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

These two Nobel Peace Prize Laureates have united for one final mission: to show the world how to live with joy, even in troubled times. And they know what they are talking about. They have both lived through extreme hardship, and continued to live with joy despite their circumstances.
Mission: JOY premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2021, and is now being featured at film festivals across the United States.

After the screening over chai and cake, we will talk together about the film and how to find happiness in troubled times. As an opening and closing of the event Jen Compton will recite one of her poems.

Hosts of the event: Jen Compton - inspirational poet, author of Life’s a Mango - A Guide to Awakening through Mindful Rhyming Wisdom and Małgorzata Dobrowolska - filmmaker, director of Bhikkhunī – Buddhism, Sri Lanka, Revolution.
