Vin Yin – A Vinyasa Flow and Yin yoga workshop with Annie

In this workshop you will be led through a Vinyasa flow Yang practice to warm up the body, including Sun Salutations, twists, backends, standing and seated poses in the morning and a restful Yin practice in the afternoon.
The smooth flowing sequences of Vinyasa synchronises movement with the breath, which energises the body and benefits both self-awareness and mindfulness. You’ll develop a stronger body-mind connection and an increased sense of strength and flexibility.
The longer held poses of Yin yoga, which are seated or supine poses, target the deep connective tissue and the fascia which allows you to release muscular tension. This practice calms the nervous system so you can surrender into a deeper sense of relaxation for your body and mind.
Annie McGhee is a long-term Tibetan Buddhist student and yoga teacher. Her classes are well known for their warmhearted teaching style, influenced by Tibetan Buddhism, to help develop an openhearted approach to life. She has been practicing and studying yoga for more than five decades and has been teaching many styles of yoga for over 30 years. Annie has led numerous yoga and meditation retreats, workshops and classes in Australia, Indonesia, Nepal and India.
