Lhabab Duchen – The Buddha’s Descent from Tushita
27 October @ 10:00 am - 8:00 pm AESTFree
Lhabab Düchen, also known as Buddha’s Descent from Tushita, is one of the four great holy days of the Tibetan calendar. As a Buddha Multiplying Day, karmic results of actions on this day are multiplied one hundred million times. This amazing result is sourced by Lama Zopa Rinpoche to the vinaya text Treasure of Quotations & Logic.
To make the most of this opportunity we schedule the making of Holy Objects in the Art Studio and also Shakyumuni Budha Puja in the evening at the Gompa.
Holy Objects 10:00am – 2:00pm
Painting Tsa-tsas and Rolling Mantras at the Art Studio :
All are welcome for this joyous activity. Instruction will be given and no experience is necessary.
Shakyumuni Buddha Puja is an extensive puja including elaborate offerings, praises to Shakyamuni Buddha, and homage to Shakyamuni Buddha’s previous lives and detailed biography. Held in the gompa and available online.
It is very auspicious to make offerings for the puja and to our precious sangha on the four Great Holy Days when merit is multiplied in such an amazing way!
