also known as the Buddha’s Descent from Tushita, is one of the four great holy days of the Tibetan calendar. As a Buddha Multiplying Day, karmic results of actions on this day are multiplied one hundred million times. This amazing result is sourced by Lama Zopa Rinpoche to the vinaya text Treasure of Quotations & Logic.

To make the most of this opportunity we schedule various virtuous activities at the centre on this day including mantra rolling in the Art Studio and Shakyumuni Buddha Puja in the evening at the Gompa, as well as a big event from 10.00am in the fabulous Nalanda Masters Garden where offerings and prayers will be followed by a special animal/pet blessing with Geshe Tsultrim and our sangha.

7:30am – 8:30am Offerings set up for big thangka in the Nalanda Masters Garden (weather permitting) *All Welcome*
10:00am – 10:30am Making the offerings to the thangka with Geshela in the Nalanda Masters Garden (weather permitting)
10:30am – 11:00am Pet blessing in the Nalanda Masters Garden with Geshela. If the weather is inclement, we will set up marquees
10:30am – 12:00pm Dharma Kids (and pets) in the Nalanda Masters Garden
This is a beautiful inclusive event! Children and adults all love to bring their beloved pets to the centre, circumabulate the holy objects with them and have them blessed in a lovely (short) ceremony.
