Please join us at Chenrezig Institute (or participate via Zoom) to celebrate the auspicious day of His Holiness’s 87th Birthday, celebrated by Tibetan Buddhists around the world!

Schedule of events

9.00 am Incense Puja in the Nalanda Masters Garden led by Geshe Tsultrim (weather permitting)

After the incense puja join Geshela in the gompa for prayers and to share sweet rice and chai. All present can make offerings and take blessings from His Holiness’s Throne.

12.00 pm Freely offered Lunch and birthday cake at the Big Love Café (registration is required – see the link below)

1:30 pm In the gompa we will recite The Yoga of the Inseparability of the Guru and Avalokiteshvara – a beautiful practice written by His Holiness at 19 years old.

2:30 pm Screening of a Dalai Lama film in the gompa (approximately 1 hour)
