Annual Nyung Na Purification and Fasting Retreats
29/05/2022 @ 4:30 pm - 15/06/2022 @ 12:00 pm AEST
The series of Nyung Na retreats (eight individual 2 day retreats, back to back) starts with preparation and introduction on the afternoon/evening of 29 May 2022 and ends with the Big Breakfast on the morning after Saka Dawa on 15 June 2022.
A Nyung Na retreat is a two-day meditation, fasting and purification practice based on the sadhana of Thousand-Armed Chenrezig, the Buddha of Compassion. It is an extremely powerful way to heal illnesses, purify negative karma and open the heart to compassion. It is an effective spiritual, mental and physical detox. Each two-day Nyung Na involves taking the eight Mahayana precepts, maintaining silence and doing prayer recitations and prostrations. The second day includes fasting for 24 hours (taking no food or water).
This year we are offering eight of these inspiring two-day retreats. Participants may choose to attend all eight, or to do as many as they are able. Even doing just one Nyung Na is an extremely powerful method of cleansing negativity and accumulating merit. No specific empowerments are needed.
Full details of the individual retreats, costs and other arrangements will be available soon. Please save these dates and keep an eye on this page for other information as it becomes available.
