Death is inevitable, so why do we pretend that death is not part of life?
Death has no favourites, it does not visit only the old and the infirm. This special one-day course will look at how we can use the understanding of the certainty of death and the knowledge that we can die at any moment as a means to prepare our minds for that time. A peaceful mind, filled with compassion for others, allows us to go through this process without the intense fear, anger and other afflictive emotions that can make this experience so traumatic.
RigsalVenerable Rigsal is currently involved in hospice work, visiting palliative care patients on a regular basis and helping those who are close to death. Join her for this one-day course as she helps us transform our minds and our view of death, so that we can be of help to ourselves and those around us.
Venerable Lozang Rigsal studied the Buddhist Study Program at Chenrezig Institute for five years and was involved in the Cittamani Hospice since its inception in the role of counsellor. She spent a further two years at Dorje Chang in New Zealand and was Spiritual Programme Coordinator at Tara Institute in Melbourne.

For thousands of years the yogi has learnt how to develop the mind as well as keep the body happy and healthy. The yogic approach to diet also encourages life-long strength and resilience in body and mind. We will explore these important and fundamental principles during the retreat and learn how to apply these practically to everyday life.
