Discovering Buddhism: Introduction to Tantra

with Venerable Tenzin Tsepal

9am Saturday 10th October - 3:30pm Sunday 11th October

An intermediate level teaching

Tantric practice relies on a firm foundation in the three scopes of the sutra method and is similarly motivated by the mind of enlightenment. Tantra is a powerful way to accumulate the causes for enlightenment and in particular for developing the very subtle mind that realises the ultimate nature of reality.

This course gives an overview of the purpose of such practice, the four classes of tantra, some action tantra methods and how to integrate tantra with lam rim meditation. This course is the final teaching of the two-year Discovering Buddhism (DB) programme, which begins again in February 2010.
