Naming and Other Ceremonies

We are happy to help you create an intimate ceremony to celebrate the wonder of your child’s human birth, a commitment between partners, or memorial/dedication ceremony.

About our Ceremonies

Location of the ceremony

We have three beautiful outdoor locations to choose from, either next to the main Stupa at the top of the stairs, under the Bodhi tree between the two prayer wheels, or at the Garden of Enlightenment.

Performing the Ceremony

For ceremonies that require a Civil Celebrant, you'll need to organise one that is willing to come here. If you'd like a Buddhist Celebrant who can work with you to design a ceremony in line with your beliefs, we recommend Allys Andrews. Allys will travel from Melbourne for your special day, you will need to cover the expenses, but it will be well worth it!!

If you don't need a Civil Celebrant but would like a monk or nun to attend a Baby Naming and bless the child, we are happy to arrange that.

What We Can Provide

Chenrezig Institute is able to provide you with a unique, natural and spiritual environment for your ceremony. We are also happy to provide you with tables and chairs for up to twenty of your guests. You are also welcome to enjoy our café facilities – just ensure you make lunch bookings so that we can cater for your needs.

Venue Hire Cost

Suggested offering to the centre of $100 * to be paid for 14 days from booking date. Invoice will be issued.
