Weekend Courses |
|
|
Chenrezig Institute offers a range of one and two day courses over the weekend designed for beginner students through to those who have been practising the Dharma for an extensive period of time.
One day courses generally run from 9:00am – 4:00pm on the Saturday or Sunday. A two day course will generally start at 9:00am on a Saturday morning and go right through the day with an evening meditation also offered. The course will generally finish around 4:00pm on the Sunday afternoon.
Courses consist of a number of sessions involving teachings, meditations, questions and answers forums and group discussions. Each session is generally between one and a half to two hours long; so you will have plenty of time to stretch your legs and have a cup of tea!
Courses handouts are often provided and you are encouraged to take your own notes so that you can refresh your memory on the course content once you have returned home. We recommended that you aim to arrive at Chenrezig Institute around 8:30am on the day your course starts to allow you time to make any necessary payments in Reception. You will then still have lots of time to relax, find a seat in the Gompa (mediation hall) and get settled before the first session. However, if you are running late; please go straight to class and settle your accounts in Reception during your morning tea break. To register for a couse; simply fill in our registration form and provide all requested details to Chenrezig Institute. We do require a $20 non-refundable deposit which you can provide through sending a cheque or money order to Chenrezig Institute or by calling us during office hours to provide your credit card details. The facility fee charged to attend day and weekend courses covers the cost of running such a large centre and contributes to the continuity of Chenrezig Institute and the precious teachings offered here. Please look at our current newsletter for information on our teaching programme schedule to find out about upcoming day and weekend courses scheduled at Chenrezig Institute.
