The Community Room is a large open hall which is used for yoga retreats, seminars, art courses and occasional prayer ceremonies. It is a beautiful space with polished wooden floors and large windows overlooking the forested property of Chenrezig Institute.
The hall is 15 metres by 8 metres in size, and is ideally suited for groups of up to 40-50 in classroom-style, or 20-25 participants for more physical activities such as yoga or art courses.
Tea and coffee making facilities are available. The area also has two toilets and showers located under the building, as well as a 5-bed dormitory.
The Community Room can be hired for any activities that do not contradict the core values of Chenrezig Institute. Complementary courses would include e.g. Reiki, Yoga, Tai Chi, Feng Shui; massage, counselling, aromatherapy services.
Any guests attending courses in the Community Hall are welcome to make use of all other facilities at Chenrezig Institute – we provide meals and snacks in the Big Love Cafe, various types of accommodation, study and meditation options, and of course the gardens and grounds. All users are asked to abide by the centre’s Code of Conduct, and to respect the aims and aspirations of the community resident on the property. The management reserves the right to ask any member of the public to leave the property if their behaviour contradicts the Institute’s Code of Conduct or is causing disturbance to the community or guests of Chenrezig Institute.
